why a newsletter?
why a newsletter?
in searching for new ways to convey thoughts surrounding technology, culture, and community, i found myself leaning towards longer form writing as a medium of choice. find that sharing personal perspectives on this fast moving environment that we exist in is important. trying to document the past while grasping at ideas that could exist in a future tense comes with this. i see this newsletter becoming an extension of how i think. i always have had a clear sense of what I was interested in, but the actual next steps were sometimes opaque to me. even today, i do not think i can articulate exactly what i’m searching for from this writing. but i know that i’ll zero in on a focus as time passes. the only thing that i’m worried about in these coming months is consistency.
this exercise of openly sharing thoughts is not one of trying to be convincing. it is about trying to rearrange certain pieces mental furniture with a hope that some of my perspective can resonate. there won’t be a single topic in the essays to follow; more-so a non-stop stream of ideas building towards a full body of work. a digital third place. one to form, experience, and extend my ideas and the creations of those around me. a reference point. the title of orange tuesday points to this essence of intentional randomness.
the upmost thanks to those who choose to give me some of your attention. with something as scarce as spending time, unsubscribing will always be understandable. these writings will come on a weekly consistency. much love and appreciate the opportunity!
